Greetings Peter. I was told as well that the camshaft may be my problem, but that would mean a constant irregular idle or in my case a miss in the firing. My problem is an intermittent miss and intermittant poor idle. Sometimes I can drive for a couple of hours before this roughness starts. Especially when the engine is hot and driven hard. (Coastal mountains) Another strange symptom I have noticed; sometimes when I corner hard, a tight righthand sweeper as in an onramp to the freeway, the engine smooths out nicely. Thinking seriously about a swap like David Marshalls. Been messing around too long on this powerplant. R.Feuerriegel 88 syncro in Victoria |
