I'm as much of a bargain hunter as the next person, but:

Do you stop by the supermarket and pick up hamburger patties, then drop by McDonalds and ask them to cook them for you?

In other words, McDonalds brings prepared foods ready-to-eat to the marketplace; it's not just a place where random food is cooked (Note: any further mention of MickyD's in this thread is probably off-topic and bound to unleash a flood of bombast - don't say I didn't warn you).

Likewise, an auto repair shop brings automotive repair and service to the marketplace; its not just somewhere you go to purchase labor (try a "temp service" for that).

I suggest that if y'all are gonna buy parts, learn how to turn a wrench so's ya' can install them yerself.

1. It's just business. 2. If you believe it's not fair, check the competition. 3. If there's no competition, then you're welcome to start your own business along the lines you see fit 4. If you make money hand over fist, then maybe you were right! 5. If not, maybe you weren't!

That's just the American way (with apologies to our off-shore readers).
