seen this van before, its definately a "fixer upper"...
ok..this USED to be a '84 Wolfsburg Edition Full Westfalia GL w/ A/C...
(the current owner is a real piece of work...he wanted a work van with a tent
on top.
Sooooo......that's what he got....
he...(gulp)  gutted the whole westy interior (still has it - it goes with the
camper) he removed the power steering, and replaced w/ manual rack..he ripped
out the a/c...(he still has that too, i think)  he repainted it maroon, filled
over the acessory fill receptacles on the drivers side, removed propane tank,
etc (still has them too) anyway, and he mounted all these wacky spotlights all
over the van. the sliding door was sideswiped, needs to be replaced. he uses
the van daily for hauling lumber etc.
but the van runs very well, and is inspected (Pa)   its a 4spd.
the guy is asking 2500.
there is NO WAY he will get that.
in my opinion, anyone who pays more than 1500 bucks for this van needs to have
their head examined.. but for 1500 or so, it runs, and drives, and you always
have the option of making it back into a westy again....
