Anytime now would be fine. For commercial vehicles the legal allowable minimum tred depth limit is 4/32" (1/8") on the front and 2/32" (1/16") on the rears. Remember, that's the depth of "every major groove" on the tire. True, my/our vanagons aren't quite in the same class as a bus or semi, but what the hey, I/we still carry passangers. Right?
