Hi Craig, Something else you can do, if you want to avoid the taste of chlorine bleach in the water system, is using "3% solution of hydrogen peroxide" and about same amout of water. I pour in two 32 oz bottles, and then slosh that around in the tank. Then I add the same amount water, and turn on the faucet, and let it rinse out the pipes and the water pump. Then rinse with clean water, and your system should be clean. Leaves no bad aftertaste. In fact, this 50% mixture can even be used for gargling. If the water tank is really dirty, I pour in baking soda, and then wipe it clean with a moist sponge and rinse. That's what the big access opening on the top is for.

When I'm not using the westy for camping, I drain out all the water to keep the tank dry. That way no mold will grow in it. Just my 2 cents worth. Harald '90 westy
