Subject: Westy Top Seal Adhesive * Bargain Alert

Just finished putting new seals on all the fiberglass atop my 1984 Westy. This requires weatherstrip adhesive, which I had bought from a large VW mail-order vendor when I ordered the seals themselves, and, of course, I ran out of it when the project was about 90% complete. >:-o

Luckily, I discovered that this is available from Pep Boys Auto Parts. The GOOD news is that this stuff usually retails for around $8.49-$8.95, but the Pep Boys price is $4.99. I don't know if this is a special or not, but you might want to stock up if you're planning on replacing your seals before winter.

The adhesive is: ---------------- Permatex Super Weatherstrip Adhesive Permatex item no. 81731 & part no. 80 UPC no. 0-79340-81731

See you all on the road, Marty Wallace (1984 Westy "Heisenberg") Chico, California
