I just finished reading an article about the Eurospec Conversion kit for Vanagons in "European Car" magazine. It got me to thinking about my '91 Carat. I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in buying my Carat for say $14,000 with the Eurospec conversion installed. This kit allows you to install a rebuilt 2.0 Golf or Jetta (or Audi) motor into your Vanagon. I am asking $8000 for the Vanagon right now with the Waterboxer so I figured that in order for it to be worth my time and money to do the conversion I should ask around $14,000. You would have a beautiful Burgandy Carat Vanagon with the very reliable, and peppy 2.0l Golf motor as its powersource. Let me know if anyone would be interested in this idea.
