FWIW, I purchased an instrument cluster for my vanagon from a   "Junk Yard"
for $10.  I had two westy tables and curtains in my wheelbarrow next to me
at the counter.  The guy just waved me through.
Point is, although you may not get as good a deal at your "Junk Yard", you
would have to be an idiot to pay half of retail for used curtains.
