Excellent information Kyle. You should also, in the interest of full
disclosure, disclose the HP increase at the wheels. I know you may be
reluctant to do this, but just do it so we feel we are getting full and
complete disclosure.
Also, for many of us (me, for example) the torque curves are of much more
interest than the HP curves.
None of us drive around at 5,000 rpm, by the way, so a 3800 rpm figure is
probably more relevant to real world conditions.
You are definitely on the right track with this test.

I assume you mean that you removed the drive shaft and turned the vehicle
into 2WD for the purpose of this test. Or are you saying something else?

Rolled as in pushed? Not driven? Are you implying that the vehicle was
somehow disabled?

I have never seen a Vanagon at 5,000 rpm. I believe there is a circuit in
there that prevents the rpms from going too high--a fuel cutoff or
something in the event that the rpms were too high. I do not believe even
4500 rpm is of much interest, as nobody drives their van at that rpm. The
3500 figure is very much interesting, however.

We all knew the number would be like this. Do not be disappointed. It is
good enough.

What do you mean by both dyno sheets? Do you actually have a before and
after sheet?

Yes. But I wish we had torque specs. But you are doing what you have to do
so you are on the right track.
