I replaced the master cylinder (clutch) about a year and a half ago, transmission was replaced a year ago, with new clutch components. The slave cylinder moves the release arm (although it doesn't seem to move very far about 3/4 of an inch) but the van won't go into gear. The van periodically went into gear, but stalled itself because the clutch would not engage/disengage when I would stop. No leaks anywhere that I can find. Thanks, > Frustrated, > Michael Thompson > The first time my clutch went out, the release arm was broken. Went through the whole ordeal of checking the fluid, rebuiling the slave cylinder...only to frustration, (this was pre-list...). Finally I noticed that the lever on the clutch was staying down went I pushed on the pedal realised that the release arm itself was broken inside. That was years ago... Fixed a lot of things since then... Getting better. |
