yea had the same problem with my 80 westie. just went in with a screw driver and worked the brake pads a while to free them up. I believe that what happens over time is the plunger gets a rust coating on it and it will not release, hence the binding on the pads. working the plunger back and forth, by using the brake pedal, seems to work. its been over 10,000 miles since it last happend to me. dan
