Greetings and salutations;
        Whilst in the archives looking for causes of high HC in emissions
I ran across these various tidbits. I am hoping that correcting the
timing will solve most of my HC problem. I plan to change the oil and
ensure the engine is up to temp, neither of which I did last time. I have
a can of STP injector cleaner in the tank. I would add some Ethanol (if I
knew where to purchase some) for higher O2 mixture(insurance).
         I was also looking for a cure to the shudder at idle. I found
many posts complaining of this ailment but no definite cause. There were
so many complaints I was wondering if anyone had a smooth idle! I am
assuming it is a misfire which would contribute to high HCs. I have
searched for a possible vacuum leak to no avail. Compression is OK and
the wires and plugs are new. The ECU has been  soldered and the
connections to the idle stabilizer cleaned. For possible cures I am
contemplating a new coil, idle stabilizer valve and module. Any thoughts
would be appreciated.
