has anybody ever replaced the flat front seal on their pop-top (the one that mates with the luggage rack) with the seal material that goes on the sides? my flat seal curls up and seems to catch the rain (of course this seal is old an brittle), i need to replace this flat portion. i know bus depot sells just this section but wondering if i really need the flat type or the side type works just as well as i have some of the side type. guess i could always put it on and see what happens.

ps - just had my emissions tests done. passed with some margin but not alot. kicker is the po removed the cat. converter and cross-over pipe and used a muffleer that bolts right to the exhaust manifolds. i did put in a can of emissions pass stuff.
