That last sentence is so true! On our 87 GL Syncro with electric everything, I have found that the following happen in the order as given:

1. Electric windows no worky; 2. Head lights no worky; 3. Windshield wipers no worky; 4. A/C no worky; 5. Any and all electrical aux. systems that are wired through "said switch" no worky. This includes radio.

SSSOOOoooooooooo..... . . . . .Carry a Spare and the tools needed!
