I'm considering buying an '87 with an auto after years with an '85 manual. Read recent posts about better reliability with the auto, though I've never had a problem with my manual. Any thoughts out there as to the preferred choice if you in fact had a choice? I'm mainly concerned about 1.) slowing down an already, shall we say, relaxed vehicle and 2.) keeping highway rpm's to a minimum Also, I always thought manual tranny's were much simpler and therefore less trouble prone. I mean, no funky valve plates and little balls moving around and all that junk. Auto's are more reliable? I still find that hard to believe...what gives? Mark
