do to circumstances beyond my control, i will be leaving this fine list. i wish to thank all of the people who have helped me in trying to find an engine for the 84 vanagon i had (operative word, had). in regrading the land where the vanagon was being stored, the dozer operator didn't see it. enough said. because i didn't have insurance on it, and the friend's insurance for the property(and their lawyer)and the dozer operator and his company(and their lawyer) both said that due to an archane law about an unregistered and uninsured vehicle in california, are not liable. i have also checked with dmv, sacremento. and the state insurance board. basically i am screwed, if i had registered the vanagon as a non-op and kept basic liability on the vehicle, it would have been replaced, live and learn. until i get another one, hail and farewell, ducky
