The two wheels that I have seen are Audi Turbo / Quattro wheels and Mercedes wheels. Both have 45mm offset so they are not the best choice for the Vanagon [Vanagon has 30mm on 14J5.5 and 34mm on 16J5.5]. Some people swear by them other's think you are crazy for considering them. I am using my Audi 15" steel wheels for the winter tires on my Quattro instead of off-road tires for my Syncro. 16" wheels offer a better choice than 15" IMHO. I will more than likely go for a set of 215/70 16" Dunlop Radial Rovers on my Syncro this winter to a total height of 28" and more weight per square inch on the ground due to the narrower tire.

I am curious what the offset of the Jeep wheels are though...
