The event at the Museum of Transportation, Transporterfest, is co-sponsored by LiMBO and NEATO. I have attended the last 4 Transporterfests and Type2s of all generations have been fully represented.

Perhaps you should join LiMBO...their monthly newsletter (as well as their website) contains an excellent list of VW events not only covering Type2s but other VWs as well.
