I posted on the List a few weeks ago about an article in the latest edition of European Car magazine that spotlighted a conversion kit made by Eurospec for putting a 2.0l in-line cylinder Golf motor into a Vanagon. Well I called Eurospec today to talk to them about getting the kit for a customer of mine who is considering having me do the conversion for him. I was told to check out their web site and when I did I saw that they had reprinted the entire article on thier web site. If you want to check it out go to my web page at http://members.aol.com/kenwilfy and there is a link directly to thier site. It is pretty cool and this kit seems like the best one I have seen so far. They actually got Hella to custom make a wiring harness specifically for thier kit. The kit is also very complete coming with everything you need to mount the motor (including the motor itself!), the exhuast system, the bracket for the accessories (A/C, powersteering, etc.), and even the fan belts! However right now the kit is not available to do-it-your-selfers. I think this is because Eurospec wants to control who is actually doing the conversions. But since I am a mechanic they seem to be willing to sell me a kit. I have changed a few things on my web site as well. Let me know what you think. Ken Wilford John 3:16
