I disagree. I searched for tires a while back and couldn't find ANY tires to match the specs of the Michelin MXT tires. I seqarched TireRack's website, made a bunch of phone calls and visited a number of tire dealers. My 88 van came with the alloy wheels and 205/70R-14 tires and I didn't want to settle for a 20mm narrower tire like a 185.

I found lots of tires with only 1433 pound rating. A few with a bit higher ratings. Most could only handle 35 PSI, less than the recomended pressure for a Vanagon with this size tire. The Michelin MXT was the ONLY 205/70R-14 tire I found this a 1709 lb rating and 50psi max pressure.

If you know others, the list would benefit from knowing about them.

Regards, Jim Davis
