Having been an owner and racer (took lst in 3 different clubs in '84) of an RX-7, let me say that engine has torque ALL OVER the RPM range! In normal driving you don't have to take it over 2000 RPM.

I've met a guy in Columbus that installed > rotary's in just about everything he owned, a bus, Vanagon, Ghia. I rode > in the Vanagon and it was nice. You tell him his van is slow, if you can > catch up to him.

A rotary in the vanagon! Does it fit? NEAT! Who can do it? MPG would suffer tho...
