Molybdemum Di sulfide(the spelling nazis just missed me with a grenade
launcher) grease is correct.  Commonly called MOLY grease its available at
AutoZones Pepboys,NAPA  etc.  Have had mixed luck using various brands of
the stuff.  Has anyone used the newer synthetics like Amsoil?  Mixed luck
with these as well.  A VW mechanic told me that the VW grease for the CV's
has a lead(Pb)ponent in it in addition to the moly and that was one reason
the boot kit was more expensive than the others,  in addition to the higher
quality boot.  Since I have biten the big one and used the expensive
boots/grease and a cheap(ie non lobro)CV joint this time around, we'll see
if the grease can make silk out of a sow's ear.
