I also have a sliding door with a mind of its own (ditto for almost losing my dog). I've got the thing rigged with a hasp on the interior side for safety and security. I see what's causing the problem -- the catch on the rear end of the slider. I haven't had the courage to inquire as to its price. Does anyone know the recall status of this problem?
