>Do any of you know of a source for a good folding sunscreen for the windshield? One of my friends has one in his Bronco that is a single piece which unfolds to cover the windshield AND both front side windows. It is an insulated foil covered unit that uses suction cups to anchor it to the side windows. I currently have a cheapo cardboard thing that won't even cover the whole windshield. I have checked the FLAPS and can't find this type of screen.< It struck me that we have quite a nice custom sunscreen for the windsheild in the camper front curtains. Although perhaps one wouldn't want one's curtains fading from daily use, in which case making an extra set out of a reflective-backed fabric could work. No need to carry additional bulky roll of stuff, and jam it in above dash every stop. A non-camper owner might fabricate a similar setup by adding some snaps in the correct places(they are standard snaps, held on by a sheet metal screw thru center) . OK, to purists i guess it DOES involve a couple of non-stock holes... |
