Ken, It's a four-speed, due to the type designation (002). A 5-speed would indicate 094 as the first three letters. Nearby you should find (look closely, it's stamped, not cast) the two letter trans code. "DM" indicates an early diesel 4-speed with a 5.43 R&P, while "DZ" is the later 4-speed with the 5.86 R&P. A "DS" 4-speed was available on the German market, but I don't know the ratio for that one. I never win at drawings, anyway! Larry |
