I was talking to the VW dealer and he said there is no problem for him to get the grills. BUT, VW Canada will not give him any pricing unless they can get a VIN # off of a real Caravelle. There is something about they could be liable if the lights went on a Vanagon and that person got caught [ suppedly the lights are not Transport Canada approved?? ] . The same thing happened when one of their customers wanted H4 lights for their 97 Jetta. VW got the lights OK from an after market place but they needed the European rad support to make them fit. They had to find a VIN from a European Jetta before they could order the extra parts needed to make them fit. If any one can help me out with a Caravelle VIN number I can find out how much the Caravelle light grills cost in Canada. The BIG benafit from buying them at the dealer is free shipping... Thanks in advance!
