I,m in the middle of an insurance claim on a fire on my 82 Westy. I'm pretty sure it stared with some fault in the auxiliary gasoline heater. The fire was no where near the engine. I'm off this morning to see the VW up on a hoist, and get a (hopefully) more accurate estimate of costs to repair.
