nothing about DRL except that you wanted to flash a story and an axe to
grind. Lil old ladies frequently get confused, etc, etc. regardless of
what you drive

DUH. same lack of a point here. DRL will not help a driver with a flat
tire, bad breath or a lack of common sense. They do improve visibility
at a very low cost, you may have to replace each bulb one more time
during your ownership of the vehicle.
I am all for them and nothing you nor the website quoted earlier, have
said has convinced me otherwise.
And as to AIRBAGS being useless, well most people (myself included) know
someone who was helped, maybe even kept alive, by the deployment of an
airbag. This despite earlier listening to rantings by anti-airbag people.
Wish I could say nice try but I cannot. these incidents proved
"absolutely NOTHING, and when i say nothing i mean nothing, nada, rien,
zilch, nicht, etc.., etc...."
This was the same kind of logic that was used on seat belts.
I am also guessing you do not have children, because people with children
they love and care for would NEVER let the small costs of DRL interefere
with the safety and future of their loved ones. This is a WIN WIN WIN
situation folks.
I do not see anyone requiring us to retrofit our vehicles, I do not have
DRL on any of my vehicles but I do use the lights whenever I drive. My
only regret is that they do not automatically go out when I remove the
key.
