That should be the normal run of the mill 5.86 ring and pinioned (in my experience) 4-speed Diesel Vanagon transaxle. Even though the 002s were discontinued with the introduction of the 091 gearboxes in '76 VW for some obscure reason chose to revive that maincase for the diesel only version.
