Peter,

You can easily determine if you have a rear weekender seat by seeing if there are hinges on both sides of the bottom seat cushion and a grab bar on the rear of the seat back. If so, pull the grab bar which will release the seat back from its brackets, and lift the bottom of the seat towards the front of the van. It is heavy, but if you get the leverage correct, both halves of the seat will swivel out to form a flat surface.

You should not have to pay more than $ 150 for it (IMHO) unless the seller is really into high prices.

Be sure that you get all of the brackets and related pieces. Check to be certain that the metal pegs upon which the rear of the seat rests (when it is in a vertical position) are identical to what is already in your van (measure them). If not, you will need to remove them as well.

It is also very desireable to obtain the rear foam cushion that completely covers the engine compartment. If not, this can be made up by any local foam company, but that will be a pain and the upholstery will certainly not match.

This is a great way to make any van into a mini camper.

Good luck.
