Sorry to raise false hopes but I am almost postive at this point that my
diesel Vanagon tranny is a 4 speed.  There are only 4 detents when I move the
shifter linkage on the side of the trans (where is reverse?) and the 002
transmissions are only listed as a 4 speed (I have been told).  So I apologize
for getting everyone excited over nothing.  However if you would like most of
a nice 4 speed diesel tranny just let me know.
