The "chrome" strip that goes in the windshield molding is available for $18.95. But be warned, it is incredibly difficult if not impossible to install it with the windshield and seal in place; you will most likely ruin it trying. It is meant to be installed before installing the seal. Another option is to replace the windshield seal with one that does not accept the strip (as used on later model Vanagons). This eliminates the faded-out-molding-strip problem forever. I sell this seal, German made, for $49.95.
