Thanks to tbill,Jim,Thomas,Robert & Joel who responded with suggestions as to possible sources of my newly discovered coolant leak near one of my heads.

Well, today I had the van flat-bedded to my mechanics and hung around long enough to hear the prognosis....cracked head (sigh) Just when I got my hopes up it was only a coolant pipe.

Guess I'll have the pair done to avoid the other one going at a more inconvenient time in the possibly near future and avoid having the engine pulled down a second time which will save me a few bucks, but it'll sure lighten my wallet for now!

I suppose my VW karma has run a bit low...
