I have a '92 1800 8V Digifant engine in my '82 westy. I've put 60k miles on it (4.5 years), and I would say that it is NOT horrible. It has been trouble free (but for a baulky AFM last winter - solved by the old "move the arm so that it is rubbing on a fresh bit of carbon track" trick), economical and fun. David has stated before that Digifant is a poor performer compared to CIS and Motronic. I can't comment on the performance differences but I will dispute his "horrible" appellation. Alistair |
