Found this in the local paper today: VW CAMPER, 1982, new engine, pop top, sleeps 4, stove, sink, refrigerator, am/fm cassette, standard shift, 135K, great condition, $5000. 665-3979. I called and asked a couple of questions. He is FIRM on the price. :-( The motor was replaced about 500 miles ago from local VW dealer. He's not sure, but this could be a California model. Everything works--so he says. Pop-top has a couple of small holes in it. He didn't know about the tires. Van has been sitting for a year. Started up once a month and driven short distances. He also didn't seem to know much about the van? Fuel lines were probably replaced with the engine. Color is blue. He says there is no rust. He bought it back in 86 and says he's the second owner. His area code is 406 No this is not my Westy Bill '85 GL [*Magic*Bus*] '82 Westy [FreeBird] ...Cause I'm as free as a bird now... Big Sky Country ---Ronnie Van Zant |
