With much sadness I think the time has come to sell my Westy. I know that the prices for a Vanagon vary depending on the region of the country you are located in. In the Mid-West (Iowa) they are quite rare. Anyway I am wondering what would be a fair price to ask. Here are the details: 1988 Vanagon Camper GL Wolfram Gray 80,000 miles (I am the original owner) No rust at all No body damage at all Full camper interior with everything in working order. A/C (however it has two leaks and the freon has been drained and the system sealed to protect the compressor) Hieldelberg Stereo Cassette w/ 6 speaker system Cruise control Electric mirrors (heated) Set of snow tires for the rear in addition to the regular tires. Trickle charger built into AC hookup w/ voltmeter. Windshield is cracked in the upper right corner. Is it worth it to have the windshield replaced ($350)? Is it worth it to have the A/C fixed ($650 or $1,500 to adapt to R134)? Thanks for any input. Tim Fast 88 Westy ("The Battle Bus") |
