You missed one that might be worth noting. The Ford 2.3L Turbo conversion has recently been done by a listmember. The pluses are the inexpensive engine and performance parts for that powerplant. The Trans adapter plate is half the cost of the Kennedy plate for the VW 4cyl. The cons are it's not VW and ????. Personally I would stick with all VW parts, but this conversion looks interesting. Who did this one again? Give us some details.
