Hi, Terry-

Whereabouts is this Vanagon for sale?

(I MIGHT be able to have a look at it for you or anyone else who might be interested.)

Marty Wallace (1984 Westfalia) Chico, (Northern) California

----------------------------------------------------------------- I saw this ad in the paper today:

90 VW VANAGON Pop-Top Camper, AT, CC, D/AC, power steering, PL, power windows, AM/FM cassette., CC, cust. whls., 44K original. miles., ex. clean, sleeps 4, $15,800

It is located way up in northern california, and unfortunately I live here in southern california. I talked with him on the phone. It sounds like he is running some sort of dealership out of his house! He said that he is the owner and has decided to sell it through his dealership. I'm not too clear whether he is the original owner. He mentioned something about fixing the body work. Doesn't seem to absolutley positive as I would like when I ask him if it is in mint condition. I would think a vehicle with only 44K should be close to mint. I wish this guy wasn't so far away, or I'd just stop by to confirm whether he was lying or not. Any advice on how to determine what condition the van is really in and what is really worth? By the way, this is the weekender package and not the full camper.

Thanx ya, Terry
