        Many thanks to all who responded with lots of useful information. The ECU
critics were, unfortunately (big $$$$), correct in their review of my
problem. The high tech approach, as recommended by Frank Terhaar-Yonkers,
of giving the brain a good smack quickly pinpointed the location of my
dilemma. The van started right up with no recurrence of power loss. I will
be openning up the offensive unit in the near future to see what I can see.
I will inform the List of my observations and final resolution, I have in
fact ordered a new ECU. I drive in too many remote locations not to have a
trustworthy control unit, so if I can fix the old one it will become a
backup. Again thanks to everyone.
