Are you sure you had a bad A/C relay?  More common problem is the bad (or
burned) connections on the relay base.  Check that first before you spend
money for relays.  BTW, you can get cheap Jetta/Golf A/C relays from any
junk yards.  There are all the same.

Does anyone out there know where I can find an A/C relay (171959141A) for a
1990 GL?  The dealer wants $83.21 for this part. :-(  Any leads would be
appreciated.
