Not ALL relays are the same. While a majority of relays may LOOK the same, many have different amperage requirements - never use a lighter load rated relay in the application you're trying to replace, yer just asking for trouble, like a fire for instance (don't dis or laugh at that - I've seen it happen).

Using relays from a junker vehicle is a crapshoot, but yeah it's cheap to experiment I guess. I always go with new ones whenever possible.
