Eric,

I was in Hannover Germany, the place where the vanagons are suppose to have been manufactured and got a chance to check out a dealer, the prices for the OE parts are crazy, I did get window cranks (that's the only thing affordable) I got a quote for joints and a clutch kit, it was around 500 US. I had to back off or risk going hungry. I did see a vanagon in almost every corner. Your best bet is the aftermarket places like bus depot or the like, I got mine from Bowwow from Canada (www.bow-wow.ca) and it is a lot cheaper.

Hope this helps.
