i have a few fireproof metal engine covers from '80-'83 vanagons for sale. the '84-'91 engine covers are plastic, and will melt and cave in in the event of an engine fire. the '80-'83 metal engine covers are the same shape and size as the later ones, and will probably keep your van from turning into a piece of charcoal, by giving you some extra time to extinguish any flames....
