I took out the driver's seat for the first time today in my new-to-me
'80 Westy "Basic Camper".  In the little compartment there I found a
red wire and a blue wire extending from the compartment wall that
weren't connected to anything.


Where do they go?


I've read on the vanagon.com website that "many Westies come wired for
a second battery."  Are these wires those wires?


If I do install a second battery will that supply power to my water
pump as well as the light?
