Whoa! What a description. Great Job I would only point out that the following statement: > Almost universally, the body of the vehicle carries > the negative charge. Is true for VW but NOT "universal". Having rewired a 1959 Alfa Romeo Guilletta Sprint, the Italian have a different twist using the positive pole as the ground. ( the batery was located in the trunk and occasionally gets loose and rolls around - What rust?) Then the folks in England also have the same twist, having worked on MGs and Triumph and Jags. They too use a positive ground and the negative is HOT HOT HOT. just my 2 cents. .................... I have to poke some fun at the next statement: (or as Gene Wilder said in "Everything You Wanted to Know about Sex but Were afraid to Ask": Beh Beh!) > You need two things to proceed without undue strain. > First, a current-sensing device. This could be an > expensive double-jeweled-multi-phase-chromium-plated > multi-meter (list price, $200)or it could be a COTS > (Commercial, Off the Shelf) test lamb with probe > (list price, $8.00 @ FLAPS [Friendly Local Auto Parts Shyster]).... " A test LAMB with a probe" Cute concept ;-) but this is a family show Joel Cort 89 Syncro Westy _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
