Winters in my part of Canada are r-e-a-l winters (down to -40 C at times) so if anyone knows about 'winterizing' vehicles it would be us. My winterizing consists of simply running the faucet dry, draining the water supply tank, leaving the cap off for a morning (to ensure every drop drains out), and wrapping my lips around the faucet spout and sucking out the remaining water from the supply lines. Although I stored the pump indoors as a precaution for the first couple of winters, I don't do that anymore. Roy O. '87 Westfalia (till death us do part) |
