> If someone has a handy reference, could they send me the part number and > brand for a Vanagon driver's side tail light? (Not the brake light). ??? do you mean the side marker light? if so it's made by VW/AUDI. which is odd, since i figured it would be by Hella, who makes the taillight/turn/brake/backup cluster and the headlight stuff on the old buses. anyway, the side marker lights are the same as on several years of rabbits (not golfs!) and sciroccos ... i think about 80-85 or so. maybe a bit later. same exact part. and the rabbits/sciroccos had a FRONT side marker that was yellow (and was illuminated, not just a reflector) ... which i want to put on the front sides of my bus. :) but i can decide on WHERE ... on the door? like the old 71-79 buses? behind the wheelwells? like the 68-70 buses? that would be more "symmetrical" (with respect to the rear), but the danged fuel filler gets in the way on the passenger side. :( anyway, it's a VW/AUDI 321-945-061/061A (red for rear). that's just the outside part (the red-colored part). there's a bulb-holder and a rubber grommet/cover that goes along with it. and if you're interested, the yellow one is VW/AUDI 321-945-051/051A. (the /061A and /051A are the later versions. you can find earlier ones that look just a like without the /061A on the part number). joel |
