Hi, I dropped mine off at a local jobbers supply, It was rebuilt and returned in a MOOG box. They hadn't any cores!!! Took 2 weeks. Cost $360Cdn two years ago, so keep trying. More recently... Walmart sells a PS leak fix fluid, can't remember the brand, but says on label suitble for Subaru, Saab.... Audi. The stuff WORKED in my '86 Audi. Took the whole bottle,1/2 then another 1/2 3 days later (first half slowed it down nicely) now still full after 3.5 weeks, the reservoir was leaking down empty once a week, from the rack end seals. Audi racks are also ZF manufacture, same as VW. I really didn't expect it to work at all, but $3.99 was worth the gamble. YMMV!!! (watch out, WallyMart sells two other PS leak stops WITHOUT the compatibility list and WITH a warning to consult repair manual, just too risky) bye, Tim Smith |
