sorry for the caps i forgot JUST A SMALL NOTE TO DROP BUT I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OTHERS WERE HAVING THIS PROB ALSO?? IN REBUILDING MY QTD I'VE MADE SOME CHANGES TO THE ENGINE SYS.CFG BUT I FEEL VERY CONFIDANT IN DOING THIS I'VE OWNED/MAINTAINED VWS FOR MANY MORE YEARS THAN I WOULD LIKE TO ADMIT. EVEN TO THE POINT THAT MANY A FLAPS IRRITATE ME BY NOT ONLY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE (PAST GREEN CRT GLOW) BUT THE TOTAL IGNORANCE THAT I WOULD EXPECT IF I WAS ASKING mc doulges OR such for the parts from next to the fryer!!! But back to the ????'s for Diesel the water hose from middle-port @ waterpump to cyl.head outlet is no longer avail (error kernel fault) from dealer or FLAPS ( pep-boize) or local foreign-auto specialty shop. this is the same hose in ALL Diesel ( maybe 2 variety for hose end size) Then there is the water return hose from the metal tube @ back of engine. returns from the heater core to the cycle side of waterpump @ bottom . What I needed is the one for in-line gas&diesel w/o oil cooler (again only 2? variety of hose end sizes?). Nada no-dice sorry never even listed it and bulk hose can't make the bends.!! To get back on the road I was forced to go to my local pickel-pull and recycle some 2nd hand candidates. all is well now but I would still like to have acess to new ones @ some time in the future. Any suggestions would be gratefull.

PS. there are several issues that I would like to discuss with a VW DESIGN ENGINEER.(read : kick'em in the $#@$%^ )

sorry for the long wind but many of us self-mechanics can probably relate.
