I feel pulling the injector plugs on one cylinder at a time with the idle stabilizer disabled is a good diagnostic approach. If you like to pull spark plug wires put the ecu in open loop first by unplugging the O2 sensor. The rpm drop should be similar on all cylinders on a normal engine.
